From Danish Design to Forbes Feature

When Stykka teamed up with design visionary Søren Rose to launch the LastDesk, an innovative modular desk concept, the aim was not just to introduce a new product but to make waves in the design world and position Stykka as a leader in innovative office furniture.

Utilizing strategic storytelling, unique art direction, and a well-coordinated launch, we managed to make headlines and bring Stykka into the international spotlight.

Objective: Launch the LastDesk product line, generate significant attention, create brand awareness around Stykka, and generate leads.

My Role: As the Head of Business Development and Brand, I managed the project, crafted the launch strategy, and directed the artistic aspects of the launch and photoshoot. My aim was to create memorable imagery that would resonate with audiences and boost product visibility.

Approach/Strategy: My approach was to spotlight the minimalist design of the product, but with an added touch of artistic quirkiness to the photos. I believed that a powerful narrative and visually captivating product images were key to capturing the audience's attention and standing out in the marketplace.

Process: I led the project from inception, overseeing the strategy design, artistic direction, and managing the execution of the product launch. The process involved meticulous planning and coordination with various teams to ensure a successful launch.

Outcome/Results: Our efforts were met with resounding success. The product was featured in Forbes and nominated for a Danish design award, bringing international awareness to our brand. This exposure generated significant inbound interest from several of the most prominent and innovative companies, resulting in orders for full office renovations.

Reflection/Lessons Learned: This project reinforced the power of strong storytelling and visually stunning imagery in building brand awareness and generating leads. It demonstrated the importance of meticulous planning and cross-team collaboration in executing a successful product launch. This experience shaped my understanding of how innovative marketing strategies can significantly increase the visibility of a product and the brand itself, leading to tangible business results.
